Prof. Ze’ev Zalevsky Wins SPIE’s Gabor Award
This year’s winner of the SPIE’s Gabor award goes to Prof. Ze’ev Zalevsky for his significant contribution to the field of holography and diffractive optics.
Congratulations, Prof. Ze’ev Zalevsky, for winning the International Society for Optics and Photonics’ Gabor award. The prestigious award is presented annually to researchers and professionals who have made outstanding achievements in optics and photonics in fields such as medicine, astronomy, optical meteorology, and optical design. Awards are also presented to members who promote and support the organization and its mission.
SPIE presented a total of 21 awards for 2025, in various fields. Prof. Zalevsky was presented with the SPIE Dennis Gabor Award in Diffractive Optics for his significant contribution to the field of Fourier (diffractive) optics and holography, particularly super-resolved imaging and imaging through scattering media.
