The conference, initiated by the society’s founders among which is Prof. Amos Danielli, was attended by leading researchers in the field of biomedicine

Prof. Amos Danielli recently initiated and founded, in collaboration with Prof. Hadar Ben-Yoav of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and Prof. Gili Bisker of Tel Aviv University, the Israeli Society for Chemical and Biological Sensing (ISBCS). The society’s first event was held in February at Bar-Ilan’s Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials.

Sponsored by ILMAR and BioAnalytics Ltd, the conference was attended by leading biomedical researchers and representatives from the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D, MAFAT), the Israel Innovation Authority, and the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology. The program featured distinguished speakers from top academic institutions across Israel, including Prof. Rachela Popovtzer (Bar-Ilan University), Prof. Ester Segal (Technion), Prof. Gil Shalev (Ben-Gurion University), Prof. Ariel Kushmaro (Ben-Gurion University), Dr. Zvi Yaari (Hebrew University), Prof. David Margulies (Weizmann Institute of Science), and Prof. Ramez Daniel (Technion).

In addition, 40 students participated in a poster competition, showcasing their research work. Within this framework, attendees also had the opportunity to explore ongoing research at the Optical Imaging and Biosensing Laboratory, headed by Prof. Danielli. These researches were presented via three posters by lab manager Dr. Linoy Golani-Zaidie and PhD students Shmuel Burg and Sophie Terenteva.
