In February 2026, Prof. Amir Leshem took part in a two-day workshop on multi-agent artificial intelligence for controlled sensing and communication, held in IIT Bombay. The workshop is part of a research project on communication, learning, and control funded by the Indian government. Several noteworthy researchers are also partaking in the project alongside Prof. Leshem, including Prof. Sayed Muhamed Zafarududdin of BITS Pilani, Prof. Manjesh Kumar Hanawal of IIT Bombai, and Vikram Krishnamurthy of Cornell University.
Prof. Leshem gave two lectures, one on the creativity of AI, and the other on game theoretic learning for resource allocation in wireless networks. Other topics discussed during the workshop were multiagent AI, inverse reinforcement learning, distributed intelligence, and AI-driven sensing for next-generation communication systems.
