Beaming With Pride at the IEEE Israel ICSEE 2026 Conference
The Faculty of Engineering was well represented in this year's conference, with participating faculty members and students. Five faculty members gave lectures; Prof. Amos Danielli, Prof. Sharon Gannot, and Prof. Alex Fish served as program subcommittee chairs.
The IEEE Israel ICSEE 2026 Conference was held last June in Jerusalem, and the Faculty of Engineering was very well represented throughout.
Three faculty members chaired different program subcommittees and contributed to promoting scientific and professional discourse on engineering and technology.
- Prof. Sharon Gannot chaired a subcommittee on Signal and Image Processing, and Control Theory
- Prof. Alex Fish chaired a subcommittee on Electron Devices, Solid State Circuits and Systems
- Prof. Amos Danielli chaired a subcommittee on Engineering in Medicine and Biology
In addition, several faculty members gave lectures throughout the conference:
- Prof. Leonid Yavits lectured on More Than Moore: The Package Is the Computer
- Prof. Anelia Somekh-Baruch lectured on Impossibility Results in Channel Coding via Auxiliary Channels and Genie-Aided Techniques
- Dr. Ofir Lindbaum lectured on Efficient Training, Fast Inference: Reducing Memory Requirements and Inference Time of Foundation Models
- Dr. Roy Zektzer lectured on Integrated Photonics and Atomic Vapors: Engineering Strong Light–Matter Interactions at the Single-Photon Level
- Prof. Sharon Gannot lectured on Deep Learning Meets Beamforming: Recent Advances in Multi-Microphone Spatial Filtering
The conference also featured many papers produced by various research groups from the Faculty of Engineering. Faculty members and students presented posters that showcased their research in a variety of fields in engineering and technology, and actively participated in panels and professional discussions about the forefront of research and innovation.
The impressive attendance rate and active involvement of members of our Faculty reflect our research excellence, spirit of innovation, and commitment to training the future generations of engineers.
We wish to thank all of the participants for proudly representing our Faculty.
