Coming Soon: "Ease Your Mind" Conference
תאריך

Faculty alumna Coral Cohen Zolkov's podcast, in collaboration with Bar-Ilan's Faculty of Engineering, will hold its first conference in Tel Aviv this October, focusing on careers, entrepreneurship, and investments in the age of AI

On her weekly podcast, Ease Your Mind, Coral Cohen Zolkov hosts women from the worlds of high-tech, technology, and entrepreneurship. Coral graduated with honors from the Faculty of Engineering and now holds a master's degree in electrical engineering; she currently lives in California, where her husband is pursuing a PhD. But on October 15, 2026, she will be coming to Tel Aviv for the podcast's first conference: an evening of lectures and in-depth conversations with senior figures in Israeli high-tech – AI leaders in the industry and academia, CEOs of deep-tech companies, angel investors, and heads of venture capital funds.

The conference is targeted at students and graduates interested in the world of artificial intelligence who want to understand the employment opportunities in this new era, changes in corporations, startup founding, and how funds choose who to invest in.

How Is AI Affecting Career Development?
The conference will explore topics that are regularly covered in the podcast: career, entrepreneurship, and investment in the age of AI, from various angles. It was organized in collaboration with IEEE Israel and is sponsored by Bar-Ilan University's Faculty of Engineering, alongside Microsoft and Applied Materials. Many of the conference's female speakers have appeared on the podcast as guests, though male speakers will take part as well.

Among the topics covered at the conference: how artificial intelligence is affecting the product, individual work, and that of different echelons within the company, and how AI has changed the way decisions are made when considering investments. The opening lecture will be given by faculty member Dr. Yoli Shavit and will be followed by panels featuring AI leaders at various organizations, a panel of startup CEOs, and a panel of senior figures from venture capital funds. The conference will conclude with discussion circles on career topics during the AI revolution.

Due to High Demand, Participation Requires Advance Registration
Coral organized the conference together with Mira Hermoni, an Algo and AI group manager at Applied Materials who holds a research master's degree in artificial intelligence and runs the Kama-Tech bootcamp. Mira and Coral began working together through the WPDN women's forum at Applied Materials, where they founded an initiative that helped employees (mainly women) pursue an advanced research degree through their workplace, opening doors to R&D and senior management positions.

The conference will take place at the Microsoft Reactor in Tel Aviv on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Admission is free but requires advance registration and approval. Interested in attending? Fill out the registration form and note that you heard about it through the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University.
