Noncontact optical sensor for detection of underground vibrations
תיאור הפרויקט:
An optical sensor that measures reflected patterns from a ground surface using a camera, antenna, and laser can be used as a powerful tool for monitoring underground vibrations. The technique relies on the fact that any movement of underground generates vibrations at the surface of the ground, which when illuminated by a laser beam create an optical pattern called a secondary speckle pattern. We generated a temporal signal from this optical measurement in which we observed optical movement values corresponding to the underground vibrations.
