Design and Functional Testing of Digital Systems with Unknown Functionality
Abstract: Digital systems whose functionality has an acceptable representation as a low order polynomial are increasingly in use in a wide range of applications. Up to now, the design of such systems and the testing of their functionality, have been carried out only if the exact specification of the system was known to the system designer in advance.
In this talk we'll present efficient hardware architecture for a system, and a method for testing its functionality, where there is no information about the functionality of the system or the number of its inputs and their precision. The presented solutions are based on the properties of the spectral representation of low order polynomials in the Walsh-frequency domain.
