Micro-knots

תיאור הפרויקט:

Developing and building micro-knots resonators.
By making a knot in a tapered optical fiber, it is possible to obtain a micro-resonator. This micro-resonator can be used to build novel detectors and cheap optical processing units.

תכולת הפרויקט:

The student will develop methods for obtaining different micro-knots, will measure their optical response and will build optical detectors based on these resonators.
