שימוש בטורבולנציה לדימות משופר רזולוציה

הפרויקט כלל פיתוח והדגמה ניסיונית של שיטה לסופר רזולוציה המשתמשת בטורבולנציה כדי לייצר F number אפקטיבית קטן יותר למפתח העדשה. שיפור הרזולוציה הושג ע"י השינויים הזמניים של הטורבולנציה שייצרו תבניות אקראיות ששימשו לקידוד של תדרים מרחביים שלא יכלו לעבור קודם דרך מפתח העדשה, העברתם דרך המפתח ולבסוף בניית ושיחזור של התמונה ברזולוציה המשופרת.
 

Usage of Turbulence for super resolved imaging

Abstract: 

The project included the developing and the experimental demonstration of super resolving approach using turbulence in order to generate effectively smaller F number for a given imaging lens. The resolution improvement was obtained due to the temporal fluctuations of the turbulence that generated random patterns capable of encoding the spatial frequencies that could not pass through the aperture of the imaging lens, pass them through and later on to decode them and to reconstruct the high resolution image.
